Welcome to the blog page of Rauceby School Council.
This week saw our first meeting. At the meeting we discussed: what it was to be a good school councillor; who the Chair and Secretary would be; what charity the school would support this year and some future events.
Each of the councillors had a vote and it was democratically decided that Our Chairperson would be Olivia from year six, and our Secretary would be Lily from year five.
The chosen charity for this year, also decided by a vote, will be The Jon Egging Trust; a charity dedicated to inspiring young people to realise their dreams and to support them in times of need. Visit www.joneggingtrust.org.uk for more details of their work.
We also discussed the upcoming 175 anniversary of the school. The councillors are now tasked to return to their classrooms and find out what the children want to do to commemorate this event.
Please let us know your thoughts on how we can make Rauceby School an even better place to learn.
Well done on your election to the school council. Looking forward to hearing your suggestions for our 175 year anniversary.
